Robyn tries to give opportunities where parents and students can meet up with each other.
When learning from Robyn, you will find that there is never a shortage of motivational methods and treats.
Mozart, Beethoven, Bach. These composers and others are responsible for some of the world’s greatest music that has stood the test of time. After hundreds of years it is still loved.
Robyn is very aware that each child and adult is unique. Each student has different capabilities. Robyn encourages students to reach their highest skill level.
Robyn is a friendly and easy-going person who loves her job as a piano teacher.
Robyn is very sensitive to the costs that families incur today. She knows from the experience of raising her own three children that money is often expected to stretch further and further.
The joy of teaching piano for Robyn is that she can help her students do their best, whether that be at an 'A' or a 'C' level.
She is able to see her students begin to feel the music internally and this promotes beautiful piano playing. Encouraging all students, young or old, to love learning is important to Robyn.
Once or twice a year, Robyn asks for volunteer students to give a concert at a local nursing home. This year gave a concert in July and another one at Xmastime. This is great for the students and gives lots of enjoyment to the elderly people.
Adult piano students are very motivated to learn as they have usually either learnt as a child and want to pick up where they left off or they have never had the chance to learn the piano and now they are determined to do so. Robyn understands that adults have much busier lives and commitments than younger learners and takes this into account. Missed lesson by adults are not charged for as long as this is not abused. Robyn's eldest student was 89 years old!
